Welcome to a guest post series designed to help you plan the ultimate short getaway to Paris! Whether it was a flying visit on a school trip or a romantic mini-break, most people who visit Paris are here for only a short time. I want to find out what they loved, where they visited, and what they'd do differently. It'll give future travellers the perfect snapshot of a jaunt to Paris, warts-and-all!

Today's guest blogger is Emily Williams.

She's a teenage blogger in the midst of her A Levels. She loves rugby and travelling!

Tell me a few details about your trip to Paris...

The first time I went was when I was 10, but the most recent time was 2017 aged 17 for 3 days at the end of December!

Which arrondissement did you stay in?

Montrouge - it's not in the actual city, but so easy to get to the centre.

Where's your favourite place to eat in Paris?

A tiny restaurant near Sacre Coeur!

Where was your favourite place in Paris?

Looking out over the Eiffel Tower at night!

What was your most-used French phrase while you were there?

Merci.

What are your top tips for a first-time visitor to Paris?

Always wear comfy shoes and go on a bike tour, especially if you go during warmer weather!

What surprised you most about Paris?

As a teenager I'm always surprised to fall back in love with the city so quickly, because there's so much to do and see!

Thanks so much to Emily for being this week's guest blogger. Don't forget that you can see more of her work on Instagram.

I'm always on the lookout for Francophiles to contribute to the blog, so please do get in touch if you'd like to get involved!
